Print Color Plastic Cards!

To use a one of our Digital Systems, you will need:

Atlantek's TCP Printer Systems are at the leading edge of the Digital Technology
The TCP Printer - - reliably prints on both sides of any ISO-standard CR-80 card, with the added security of covert printing and date/time stamping

  • Micro-positioning card transport gives perfect colr registration, unmatched print quality
  • Covert printing capability for added security
  • Cleans and prints both sides of the card
  • Laminates both sides in one pass
  • Low maintenance - no friction rollers to clean
  • Field-proven reliability
  • Hot-swap exchage program minimizes down time

Micro-positioning means great printing quality
Direct lead-screw drive, no friction rollers
In the TCP Printer, the card is transported by a lead-screw driven carriage that maintains precise registration through the entire process of picking, cleaning, and mulit-pass printing. Perfect color-to-color registration time after time - no slippage, no deterioration in print quality over time.
  Why micro-positioning is important
First, it guarantees bright, needle-sharp photo images. Second, it allows the TCP Printer to deliver subtle patterns practically impossible with friction roller systems because over time their grip deteriorates. Print registration in the TCP Printer is so accurate that there is no discernible frnging even when printing process black from three separate passes, Y, M and C.
  Special printing effects, better security
In ID card printing accurate color regstration means much more than attractive images. The TCP Printer is capable of micro-printing text less than 15 mil high, unreadable without magnification, in gray tones synthesized from Y, M and C color passes. Use this capability to print encrypted data, plus date and time of issuance.

Add security at no extra cost
Making full use of the TCP Printer's precision, you can print text and graphics in gray, too small and faint to photocopy.
  UV-visible printing enhances security*
"Invisible ink" option for TCP color ribbon

Print invisible data at the time of issuance. A special color ribbon is available from Atlantek ith a fifth-panel that is transparent in normal light, but flourescent under UV. This is a full-size panel, allowing you to insert UV-visible features anywhere on the card face... anything from complex graphics to messages such as date of expiration or other permit restrictions.

* Availability of this feature is restricted
One use of UV visible printing:
The license holder's signature can be over-printed with an exact facsimile in UV ink.
TCP Over-laminate film has two security features
TCP over-laminate film cassettes are available in two standard widths form front and back protection. Security comes from excellent adhesion and abrasion resistance, plus OVI (optically variable ink) printing on the inner surface. Custom OVI printing and holographic metallization are also available.
